House Challenge comes to Wrekin

Wrekin launched the House Challenge for Lent Term 2026, a quiz competition designed to engage pupils across the school while promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and breadth of knowledge.

The competition encourages pupils to develop their general knowledge, stay up to date with current affairs, and apply what they have learned across the curriculum, from science and maths to literature and the arts. By combining Junior and Senior team members, the House Challenge also encourages collaboration and leadership. The competition also gives some of our quieter pupils the opportunity to shine in front of their peers and teachers.

In the first two matches, York beat Bayley 35-25, whilst Roslyn beat Tudor 42-40 in a nail-bitingly close match that went all the way down to the final question. The competition will continue in a round robin format throughout this term, with the best two houses competing against each in the Grand Final after the Easter Holidays.

The competition will heat up as we head into the second half of term; let the friendly battles begin!
