House Singing 2026: York Takes the Crown
House Singing returned for one of the biggest events in the Wrekin calendar, bringing plenty of House spirit, musical talent and friendly competition. This year’s theme celebrated Sir David Attenborough and his 100th birthday, inspiring performances that brought the natural world to the stage.
Each House took to the stage to perform their chosen House and Part songs, with the hall filled with energy and support from pupils cheering on their teams.
York were crowned this year’s winners with their performance of 'September' for their House song and 'Earth Song' for their Part Song, rounding off an evening full of enthusiasm, teamwork and Wrekinian spirit.
House Singing is always a highlight of the year, bringing the school community together and showcasing the creativity, confidence and pride that make the event so special. Congratulations to York, and well done to every House for making House Singing 2026 such a memorable occasion.
