Individual Co-Curricular Achievements
There have been a wide range of individual achievements in co-curricular activities during the first half of term.
In Cross Country, Chloe, Summer and Charlie performed brilliantly at the Shropshire Schools’ Cross Championships. A magnificent 2nd for Summer in the Year 7 Girls race and 1st for Chloe in the Inter Girls. Both Chloe and Charlie qualified to run for Shropshire at the English Schools’ Championships as they both finished in the top 8.
Congratulations to Arran who was selected again after a training camp at St. George’s Park over the Christmas break to play football for the England Under 16 Independent Schools team against Australia. Despite the fixture being cancelled due to weather, it is a great achievement to get selected for an International fixture.
Congratulations to Ellick for his success at the the Four Nation Chess League competition! During the competition Ellick played five matches, winning four. He represented Shropshire in their A Team, which came first in their division out of 14 teams from around the country, including Manchester and London. Well done Ellick for representing Shropshire and winning the competition as a team.
Well Done Millie for her performances in Matilda Jnr at Theatre Severn! Millie performed in Matilda musical Jnr as 'Lavender'. She has been juggling rehearsals for Matilda alongside rehearsals for our production of Swallows and Amazons in December. Millie's hard work paid off at the weekend as she performed brilliantly.
