Junior House Debating - so far!
So far we have had three rounds of our Junior House Debating competition.
In the first round of the Junior House Debating competition Clarkson faced York, and Tudor took on Bayley. They debated the motion 'This house believes that cancel culture does more harm than good'. After a lively and informed debate the winners of the first round were Clarkson and Bayley.
The second round of debating tackled the motion 'This House believes that President Trump was right to reinstate Winston Churchill’s bust in the Oval Office'. Clarkson faced Bayley and York hosted Roslyn. Compelling arguments were made for and against, whilst answering some great questions from the floor. The winners were judged to be Clarkson and Roslyn.
In the third round of the Junior House Debating Competition, Clarkson faced Tudor and Roslyn hosted Bayley. The motion debated was 'This house believes in love at first sight', apt for Valentine's Day. There was great and spirited debating on display, and the winners of this round were Clarkson and Bayley.
We look forward to seeing how the competition shapes up as we move into the later rounds of the competition.
