Kitty Shines at Shropshire Swim Counties

Congratulations to Kitty, who recently competed in her first Shropshire Swim Counties at Wolverhampton Pool. Across three demanding weekends of competition, Kitty demonstrated remarkable commitment, resilience, and talent.

Despite competing in an older age category, Kitty qualified for an impressive 13 races, ranging from 50m to 400m. Her hard work and many early mornings paid off, as she achieved 13 personal bests, secured two silver medals, six bronze medals, and proudly brought home a trophy for third place in her age group.

Kitty enjoyed a fantastic experience alongside her teammates from Wrekin Swim Club, supported by her swim family throughout the event.

A special thank you and recognition go to Prep Swimming Subject Specialist, Dave Tatton, who has coached Kitty from a very young age. Kitty’s weekly one-to-one lessons with Dave, alongside her school swimming sessions, have played a significant role in her development and success.

Well done, Kitty – we are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing you continue to flourish, including at next month’s IAPS competition.
