Lancaster Debating

The four Quarters of Lancaster competed in the first round of the Lancaster House Debating Competition.

The motion debated was 'This house believes that money buys happiness', with Attingham against Clun and Davenport facing Boscobel. For some of our debaters, this was their first experience of debating in front of an audience of peers at Wrekin, and they produced a polished performance. There was an impressive standard of debating on display from the Quarters and some engaging questions from the floor, which promises some exciting debates in the upcoming rounds of the competition.

The second motion in the next round was 'This house should be vegan', with Attingham against Boscobel and Clun facing Davenport, there was an impressive standard of debating on display from the Quarters and some great questions from the floor. Well done, everyone! There's some promising debating skills on their way!
