Lancaster History and Politics Evening

Our youngest pupils treated an interested audience to a superb History and Politics evening, featuring academic posters, debates and presentations.

Ably hosted by Headboy Oli, our Year 7 and 8 pupils welcomed pupils and parents to the special evening in Wrekin's Business School.

A variety of academic posters were on display on wide-ranging topics including the history of NATO, methods used by the Suffragettes to secure votes for women and their effectiveness, females spies of World War II and questioning whether American involvement in Vietnam was justified.

There were two debates, with motions about nuclear war and whether Richard III was a good king, ably tackled by those involved. There was also a presentation about Lara's utopia.

It was a thought-provoking and thoroughly successful evening; well done to all who took part.
