Learning About Diwali
A special visitor shared Diwali traditions through music, dance, and colourful Rangoli art
Year 1 were delighted to welcome Aditya’s mum, who kindly visited us to share how her family celebrates Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.
The pupils learned about the traditions and meaning behind this special celebration, enjoyed dancing to vibrant Hindu music, and created their own beautiful Rangoli patterns using coloured rice.
It was a wonderful way to learn about Diwali and to celebrate the rich diversity within the Wrekin Prep community. A big thank you to Aditya’s mum for making the day so special!
