Exploring the traditions of Navratri through storytelling and dance
This week, our pupils had the opportunity to learn more about Navratri, a Hindu festival celebrated over nine nights in honour of the goddess Durga.
We were delighted to welcome a parent visitor who introduced the children to the traditions and celebrations associated with the festival before teaching them some traditional dance.
The visit offered a wonderful opportunity for pupils to explore a different culture, discover new traditions and learn through movement and dance.
