Second Form Pupils Take on Outdoor Adventure Challenge

To mark the end of their time at Lancaster House before moving into their senior houses, our Second Form pupils took part in an exciting two-day outdoor adventure designed to build confidence, resilience and teamwork.

The experience provided the perfect introduction to the opportunities that lie ahead through the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and other adventurous activities. Throughout the trip, pupils were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, develop new skills and discover their potential in a supportive environment.

The adventure began with pupils setting up their own campsite, preparing and cooking their evening meals, and enjoying an alternative sports evening before embarking on two action-packed days of activities.

Their 'dry day' at Cannock Chase included mountain biking, high ropes and archery tag, challenging pupils both physically and mentally while encouraging them to work together and support one another. On the second day, hosted by Shropshire Sailing Club, pupils took part in sailing, canoeing, leadership exercises and raft building, developing communication, problem-solving and leadership skills along the way.

The trip was an invaluable opportunity for pupils to challenge themselves, build lasting friendships and gain confidence before beginning the next stage of their journey at Wrekin.

Everyone returned home tired, proud and full of new experiences, having created memories that will stay with them for years to come.
