Ship Ahoy Thanks to OWA

We were delighted to celebrate the official opening of our new play equipment boat today.

The ribbon was cut by Simon Richards, Chairman of the Old Wrekinian Association. The OWA donated the boat to commemorate the year in which Wrekin Prep pupils officially became members of the Old Wrekinian Association. The fantastic new space is already inspiring imagination, adventure, and play for our pupils.

Simon said: "This year marks an important moment for our school community. With Old Hall becoming Wrekin Prep, the Wrekin Old Hall Trust has strengthened Wrekin's identity as a 4-18 school.

"In recognition of that, the Old Wrekinian Association decided that pupils who attend Wrekin Prep will now become Old Wrekinians, whether or not they later move on to Wrekin Senior.

"Once you join the Wrekin family, you are part of it for life.

"To celebrate this milestone, the Old Wrekinian Association has funded this wonderful pirate ship playground. We hope it will be a place of imagination and adventure, and perhaps where many Wrekin Prep pupils will begin to set sail on their own Wrekin journey.

"On behalf of the Old Wrekinian Association, it gives me great pleasure to be able to officially open it."

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life!
