Sixth Form Chemists Achieve National Success in Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad

Several of our Sixth Form students have achieved outstanding results in the prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad, a national competition designed to challenge and inspire the country's most talented young chemists.

The Olympiad requires students to apply their knowledge beyond the A Level syllabus, tackling complex problems that demand analytical thinking, creativity and an understanding of chemistry at a level more commonly encountered in the early stages of university study.

This year, more than 17,000 students from schools across the UK took part in the competition. With particularly demanding grade boundaries, achieving an award was a significant accomplishment.

We are delighted to recognise the achievements of our students:

Bronze Award – Natalie
Silver Award – Isaac and Alice
Gold Award – Leo
A special congratulations goes to Leo, whose Gold Award places him among the top 8.5% of participants nationally, an exceptional achievement in such a competitive field.

These results are a testament to the students' dedication, perseverance and academic excellence, as well as their willingness to embrace challenges beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud of Natalie, Isaac, Alice and Leo for their hard work and commitment, and we congratulate them on this well-deserved success.
