Jujitsu success!
Third Form pupil, Sydney, came 2nd in the Elite World Jujitsu Championships! She also competed last weekend in a heavier weight division at the European championships; qualifying for the open weight winners competition, where she finished a creditable third place.
Netball
The U13s put on a commanding performance in the first round of the National Cup, winning comfortably against Madeley High School from Crewe.
On Tuesday, both the U15s and U14s beat Shrewsbury High School 31-2 and 24-5.
Congratulations go to Ella, Lulu, Isla and Harriet who have been selected from across the country for both the Severn Stars and Central Warriors National League squads.
Rugby
After a physical set of games on Wednesday, on Saturday an adapted 1st XV put an encouraging performance against Malvern Seniors, winning 22-5. The U14s put in a spirited performance, and the U16s battled after a week of injuries and illnesses but unfortunately lost out on the day. A mixed Juniors B team stepped up really well.
However the result of the week is the impressive 75-12 win for the U15s!
Hockey
The girls U18s put on a solid display against Morton Hall.
The Lancasters had a great block fixture against Packwood and then Princethorpe, tasting both the fruits of victory and the bitterness of defeat.
The U15s and U14s faced very tough Princethorpe teams. Despite losing out, they showed much improved performances since they played them last season.
The highlight of the week was the U16s team who finished runners up in the county finals so now qualify for midlands in November!
Football
On Wednesday, five Lancaster football teams were in action against Packwood. The pick of the matches was the U13As 7-1 win.
Badminton
The badminton team had a convincing win against Moreton hall. Some excellent performances from the squad.
Golf
On Thursday the GOLF team beat Shrewsbury school 3-0 in a convincing win in the first round of the ISGA competition.
