Sports Report
The Year 9 Athletes took part in the Telford Schools Championships. There were many outstanding individual results, including a clean sweep for the girls in the sprint events and relay.
In cricket, there were another nine matches this week for school.
The 1st XI had an excellent win against Solihull. Morgan was top-scorer with 53 and a useful contribution from Arthur S as well got Wrekin to 160. In return, Solihull were bowled out for 80. Ollie with outstanding figures of five wickets for 16.
Girls U12 - This was another well-fought game for the U12 girls ended in defeat to Packwood Haugh. Player of the Match was undoubtedly Amelia T, who took three wickets, scored four runs, and took two catches.
The Girls U12/13 B team had a good match against Packwood which, we unfortunately lost. Milly T, Maddie and Nikita all took a wicket when bowling, and Tilly and Belle both hit a four.
The U13A boys lost out to a strong Packwood side but the U13Bs had an outstanding win.
Both the U12 As and Bs lost out in two very close matches. Well done to all teams.
In tennis the U13 Girls tennis teams took on Prestfelde and Moreton Hall on Saturday. They lost out in both of these fixtures but showed great spirit and determination throughout. The U13 boys took on Prestfelde and won four sets to two. Special mention to Hugo R and Tom P, who won both of their doubles matches.
Three swimmers attended the Shropshire Championships; Finley T, Charlie S-K and Beth B.

Beth also won the shield for the only girl breaking a school record in the Girls Intermediate 100FC, set back in 2005.
Sydney P was crowned British Jiu-jitsu champion this weekend. This is an amazing achievement! Well done Sydney.
