Strong Finish to the Term for Wrekin Prep Sport
The final week of term brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm as pupils across Wrekin Prep took part in a range of exciting sporting events. Our Year 5 and 6 mixed House Hockey Tournament was a particular highlight, showcasing great teamwork, determination and competitive spirit. After all matches were played and points added up, Cressage were crowned our overall champions. Well done to every player; the effort, attitude and sportsmanship on display made for a brilliant afternoon.
Our Year 3 girls performed superbly at the Under 8 Girls’ Hockey Festival, welcoming teams from Prestfelde, Packwood and Oswestry. They represented Wrekin Prep with confidence, enthusiasm and excellent skills throughout.
In netball, the Year 4, 5 and 6 girls took part in valuable pre-season fixtures against WGS as they look ahead to the spring term. Year 2 pupils shone during an invasion-game lesson inspired by netball, showing fantastic energy, teamwork and plenty of smiles. They learned to move into space, pass with purpose and work together
A wonderful end to a busy term of sport; well done everyone! Let’s bring the same spirit and enthusiasm into the new year.
