VE Day Concert
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, the school hosted a special concert reflecting on the significance of this historic milestone. The evening featured a thoughtful programme of music performed by students across year groups.
The concert served as a moving tribute combining musical performance with historical reflection. A great deal of preparation went into the event and we extend our sincere thanks to all students and staff involved for their dedication and professionalism.
Mr Platford, our Director of Music, commented the following: "Thanks to all for a truly memorable evening. Sincere thanks to Alexander Arenare our soloist but most special thanks go to all the performers. A true Wrekin ‘family’ collaboration remembering those who paid the ultimate price so VE Day could be celebrated".
Ensembles who participated are as follows: Wrekin Chapel Choir, Wrekin Prep Chapel Choir, Wrekin Community Choir, Jackfield Band and Telford Concert Band.
