World Environment Day

Our First Form marked World Environment Day with a day dedicated to activities centred around the importance of caring and looking after our environment.

The day began with a talk from Dr Cath Price from the Shropshire Wildlife Trust about the importance of biodiversity. Inspired by her talk the pupils got stuck into a day of environmental activities that focused on how important our environment is. They created a coral reef in Art, wrote poetry inspired by nature in English and used an app to capture a survey of Wrekin's plants and wildlife in Science. The day ended with a brilliant Wildlife Show with the chance to get up close with snakes, spiders, chameleons, and even a chinchilla!
