Wrekin Prep Honour Remembrance Day
Pupils reflect, create, and pay tribute through chapel services, artwork, and local ceremonies
This Remembrance season, Wrekin Prep took part in a series of meaningful activities to honour those who have served.
The school held a chapel service on Friday to mark Wrekin Prep’s own Remembrance, providing pupils across the school with the opportunity to reflect on the significance of the day.
On Sunday, Year 6 pupils Georgia and Alex, accompanied by staff members Mr Grant, Mrs Grant and Mrs Everson, attended the remembrance service in Wellington. The children had the privilege of laying a wreath at the Lych Gate, paying tribute to those who have served in the armed forces.
In addition, pupils created beautiful Remembrance-themed artwork, which has been proudly displayed in the school entrance as a visual tribute and reminder of the importance of reflection and remembrance.
It was a thoughtful and respectful week of events, combining local participation, school ceremonies, and creative reflection.
