Wrekin Rugby Tour Thrills in Northern Italy

The Wrekin Rugby Tour delivered an action-packed and memorable adventure across Northern Italy, beginning in the vibrant city of Milan before heading to the breathtaking shores of Lake Garda. The senior squad took on two strong Serie A opponents; Parabiago 1848 and Mogliano Veneto, testing themselves against high-calibre Italian competition and gaining valuable match experience.
A major highlight of the tour was a professional coaching session with Italian international Tommaso Benvenuti, organised with support from Benetton Rugby. The players also had the chance to witness top-tier European rugby live, soaking up the atmosphere at the Zebre vs. Stormers clash in Parma.
Away from the pitch, the team immersed themselves in Italy’s rich culture, exploring Milan’s iconic landmarks and wandering the canals and squares of Venice. To round off an intense week of training and fixtures, the squad enjoyed a well-earned day of fun and downtime at Gardaland, Italy’s biggest theme park.
