Wrekin Sports Report

Wrekin Sport has enjoyed a packed calendar of competitive action this term, with athletes across the school showing commitment, teamwork and determination, supported throughout by their coaches and staff.

Netball
A superb display of skill and tenacity from the 1st team in the National Cup saw them clinch a thrilling 36–34 victory against Solihill School. The win secures their place in the Quarter Finals at home in January against King’s School (Worcs).

Senior Options Competitions
Basketball: Won by Tudor & Roslyn
Table Tennis: Won by Bayley & Clarkson
House Swimming:
The House Swimming Relays were won by Roslyn & York.

Badminton
The Under 14 and Under 16 teams fought hard but were narrowly defeated by Newport Girls High in the Telford Schools competition.

Hockey
1st XI: Won 3–2 against Solihill
2nd XI: Lost 2–1 against Solihill
Under 18 Boys & Staff: A strong 5–0 win against Beacon HC, with Dylan scoring a hat-trick
The House Matches were won by Clarkson.
