Wrekin Triumphs at Model United Nations Conference

Impressive achievements across the team culminate in Wrekin being named Best Delegation

Fifteen members of the Wrekin community took part in the Model United Nations (MUN) conference at the Queen’s School, Chester. They joined pupils from several prestigious schools, including Shrewsbury School and Manchester Grammar School, for a day of high-level debating, diplomacy and collaborative problem-solving.

Wrekin’s MUN society prides itself on participation, enjoyment and the development of public-speaking skills rather than competition. Nevertheless, the delegation’s commitment and preparation were recognised throughout the day, resulting in an impressive array of awards.
