Year 1 Visit the Black Country Museum
As part of their 'School Days' topic this term, Year 1 enjoyed an exciting educational visit to the Black Country Living Museum, where they explored how life and schools have changed over the years.
During the visit, pupils took part in a guided tour of the museum, discovering a range of traditional houses, shops and historic buildings. They learned about how these buildings were used in the past and gained a fascinating insight into everyday life in Victorian times.
Pupils experienced what school life would have been like for children in the nineteenth century and enjoyed comparing it with their own experiences of school today.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to bring their History learning to life, helping pupils develop a deeper understanding of how schools and communities have changed over time.
