Year 2 Adventure Day at Arthog Outreach
Year 2 had a day of adventure at the Arthog Outreach Centre. Throughout the day the children were challenged to learn new skills, encouraged to take risks and work as a team to complete tasks.
Completing the Low Ropes course needed balance, steady feet and a good partner at hand- literally! Finding the clues during the orienteering activity relied on having good map skills- orientating the map seemed to be the trickiest part! Taking part in some team challenges required good listening skills and taking turns was vital to succeed. Learning how to make fire using a flint and steel was exciting which resulted in a delicious hot chocolate being brewed over the fire. A favourite has to be the climbing wall. Not only did the children have a chance to explore the wall at a low height, all the children embraced the opportunity to climb high. Harnessed and ready for ascent the children showed bravery and were all proud of their achievements.
What a great day!
