Year 2 Land Ahoy Project.
Year 2 set sail this week as they launched their exciting new topic, Land Ahoy!
The adventure began with a series of mysterious clues appearing in the classroom. The children worked together to follow the trail, uncovering hidden hints that led them across the school grounds. With teamwork, curiosity and a sharp eye for detail, they finally discovered the treasure, marked with a bold ‘X marks the spot’.
Among the clues were references to significant historical figures the children will be learning about, including Mary Seacole, Blackbeard and Anne Bonny, alongside intriguing items of pirate attire that may hint at more adventures to come.
To round off the launch, the children proudly boarded their very own pirate ship, where imaginative play and excitement took over as they began their journey into this swashbuckling topic. The crew is ready and the voyage has begun.
