Year 2 Set Sail for a Swashbuckling Pirate Adventure!

Ahoy there! To celebrate the end of an exciting week, Year 2 transformed into a crew of fearless pirates for the day, linked to their topic 'Land Ahoy!'

Everyone arrived in their best pirate hats and set sail on the Wrekin Prep pirate ship. Pupils used a special code to generate their own pirate names and designed their very own wanted posters.

The adventure continued with a digi-tech themed pirate activity and some brilliant orienteering and map work to uncover clues and learn a variety of pirate phrases such as 'Me Hearties,' 'Landlubber' and 'Booty!'

To finish, the children created unique pirate flags before briefly taking over Upper School ahead of the residential return. We suspect there may have been a few cries of “Shiver me timbers!” along the way!

A fantastic day of imagination, learning and adventure.
