Year 2 Step Back in Time at Ludlow Castle
Year 2 recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Ludlow Castle, where they stepped back in time to explore one of the region’s most impressive historic landmarks.
The visit supported their current ‘Monarchs’ topic as well as their Design and Technology project on ‘Towers and Turrets’. Throughout the day, the children explored the magnificent castle grounds, discovering how castles were designed to defend kings and queens. They examined the castle’s towering walls, impressive turrets, and defensive features, while learning fascinating stories about life in medieval times.
