Year 6 Netball Residential
On International Women’s Day, our Year 6 girls attending the Netball Residential demonstrated incredible resilience, teamwork, empathy, cooperation and determination both on and off the court.
During the first day of competition, the girls faced strong opposition from performance academy netball clubs as well as school teams. They represented the school brilliantly, finishing 3rd in their group and progressing into the Cup competition on Sunday.
It was a challenging day of matches, but the team achieved an outstanding result by finishing as the highest-placed school in their group – a fantastic accomplishment for this non-selective squad.
Alongside the netball, the girls also took part in a range of outdoor activities, making the most of the residential experience. Lifelong memories were created throughout the weekend, and we are incredibly proud of their effort, attitude and true Wrekinian team spirit.
